AJUPEME USA is part of an International Mesoamerican Ball Game Association that originated in Mexico founded by Armando Uscanga and Reyna Puc.
The Mesoamerican Ballgame is the oldest team sport in history, and the first to ever use both a rubber ball and a hoop. For over 3,500 years the Mesoamerican Ballgame goes by many indigenous names, but today it is recognized either as ulamaliztli, pok-ta-pok, batuu, or Hip-Ball. "Ulama" was the main attraction across ancient Mexico and Central America, it was played by some of the greatest and oldest civilizations across the Western Hemisphere; over 2,000 ball courts have been identified throughout their ancient archeological sites.
